<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow amplification of an original pulse-modulated pulse signal with a pulse train retained. <P>SOLUTION: An amplifier 100 comprises: a separation unit 120 that separates pulse signals; and a generator 130 that generates first and second low-speed pulse signals having a pulse width which is two times or more of the narrowest pulse width contained in each separated pulse signal. The amplifier 100 includes: a first switching amplifier group 140 that outputs a logical product of the first and second low-speed pulse signals corresponding to a first separation signal as a first output pulse signal; and a second switching amplifier group 140 that outputs a logical product of the first and second low-speed pulse signals corresponding to a second separation signal as a second output pulse signal.
