<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early change valve characteristics, while maintaining oil pressure to be supplied to a lash adjuster arranged in one of intake and exhaust valves at a proper value, in an oil supply device of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The oil supply device includes: first and second extended oil passages 32 and 31 arranged in one of the intake and exhaust valves for supplying oil to the lash adjuster; a first connection oil passage 33 for connecting one end parts of the first and second extended oil passages 32 and 31; and a hydraulic control valve 51 for selecting a first state for cutting off communication between the first extended oil passage 32 and a drain oil passage 52, or a second state for allowing communication between the first extended oil passage 32 and the drain oil passage 52. An orifice is provided in an oil passage located on the side of the first connection oil passage 33 relative to a supply part of a hydraulic fluid to the lash adjuster 11 arranged on one end part of the first extended oil passage 32 and located on the side of the first connection oil passage 33 relative to the supply part of the hydraulic fluid to the lash adjuster 10 arranged on one end part of the second extended oil passage 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
