The invention relates to a method for producing a moulding, the shape of which is adapted to an initial mould, in which method a plurality of layers (8) are deformably placed on top of one another such that said layers can be joined to each other by heat, the layers (8) are deformed by being pressed onto the initial mould and in order to join the layers (8) heat is applied in the deformed state. The method is characterised in that at least one converter element that converts supplied energy into heat is introduced in the arrangement of layers (8), wherein by means of said converter element at least sub-regions of the layers (8) are heated in order to join the layers (8).
