When common management information set at switchblades (3A, 3B) has been changed, a CPU (51) of a management blade (5) detects changes in the common management information on the basis of a configuration definition update flag set at the changed section, and uses the information of the changed section at which the configuration definition update flag was set, such information being included in the switchblade (3A), to update the common management information that is set at the switchblade (3B), thereby reducing the time required to update the common management information set at the switchblades (3A, 3B).
