Processing N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP), comprises: reacting 2-pyrrolidone with acetylene; obtaining the distillation in the separation of N-vinylpyrrolidone residue (NVP-synthesis residue) and the residue from the synthesis of 2-pyrrolidone, which is obtained by reacting ammonia with gamma -butyrolactone and subsequent separation by distillation of 2-pyrrolidone (pyrrolidone-synthesis residue); supplying an evaporator; and separating the further 2-pyrrolidone from the combined residue in the evaporator.
