<p>The method involves closing front brake cylinders (20, 22) of associated shut-off valves (24, 26). Increased pressure is established between a pressure control module (12) and the shut-off valves against a non-preconditionable motor vehicle brake assembly (4). Rear brake cylinders (28, 30) are actuated around related brake pads at associated friction pairs to pre-condition the brake assembly in accordance with parameters of a motor vehicle (2) e.g. semi lorry, where the pre-conditioning process is triggered by a driving support system (10).</p> |
