PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing inspection method and a printing inspection apparatus having simple and versatile properties to inspect printing accuracy by visibly detecting a printing position of invisible ink.

SOLUTION: In the printing inspection method, after forming a printing pattern on an end area 21b of a workpiece by using invisible ink, a liquid including a coloring material is applied only to the periphery of the printing pattern 22 in the end area 21b to contaminate and visualize the printing pattern 22, and the printing position of the printing pattern 22 is inspected.
