<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of an operation rate by avoiding the stopping of an apparatus requiring a service call by the increase of a load by a drive motor for driving an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the drive motor for driving the image carrier; a control part for controlling the operation of the drive motor; and a load detecting part for detecting the load during the operation of the drive motor. The control part has a load threshold being recovery determination conditions when the load is increased and when the load detected by the load detecting part reaches the load threshold, recovery processing for temporarily stopping the drive motor or temporarily reducing the speed of the drive motor is performed to recover from the increase of the load, so that the stopping of the apparatus requiring the service call can be avoided as much as possible and the occurrence of rotational irregularities and the formation of an abnormal image can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
