<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal fastening tool capable of extending the life of a socket resetting coil spring for fastening a fastened member such as a screw or a bolt. <P>SOLUTION: The universal fastening tool includes a socket part 40, a holding part 41, and a universal joint part 42 connecting the socket part 40 to the holding part 41. The universal fastening tool further includes a pressure member 9 having a pressing surface 91 for abutting on a rear end face 403 of the socket part 40, and movably provided on the outer peripheral face of the holding member 41, the coil spring 10 provided between the inner face of the pressure member 9 and the outer peripheral face of the holding member 41 for pressing the pressure member 9 against the rear end face of the socket part 40, and a spring support 11 provided on the outer peripheral face of the holding member 41 for preventing the movement of the coil spring 10 to the other side.
