<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer dispersion type liquid crystal display device capable of permanently obtaining high display quality regardless of a change in a temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises: a liquid crystal display element 1 provided with a polymer liquid crystal composite layer between a first and a second substrates, a first electrode on the first substrate and a second electrode, which faces the first electrode, on the second substrate; a drive circuit 14 which applies voltage between the first and the second electrodes of the liquid crystal display element 1; a variable capacitance element 15 connected in series to a voltage supply line from the drive circuit 14 between the drive circuit 14 and a pixel capacitor C<SB POS="POST">A</SB>consisting of the first and the second electrodes as well as the polymer liquid crystal composite layer therebetween; and variable capacitance control means 16 to control a capacitance value of the variable capacitance element 15 in accordance with a temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
