A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine has an air filter for cleaning intake air comprising a housing and a filter element, an intake unit for supplying the cleaned intake air to combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine and a fuel injection unit comprising a container for pressurized fuel, in particular a fuel distribution rail, and a plurality of injectors connected with the container.
