摘要 The apparatus of monitoring a coupling between a shock wave head (2) of a lithotripter and a body surface of a patient (12), comprises an image recording unit (14) for receiving a coupling layer located between the patient and a coupling surface (8) of coupled bellows (6) in a coupling zone, a position detection unit for determining a position and/or shape of the coupling zone, an evaluation device for controlling the image pickup unit in dependence of the position and/or shape of the coupling zone, and a lighting device for illuminating a partial area of the coupling zone. The apparatus for monitoring the coupling between a shock wave head (2) of a lithotripter and a body surface of a patient (12), comprises an image recording unit (14) for receiving a coupling layer located between the patient and a coupling surface (8) of coupled bellows (6) in a coupling zone, a position detection unit for determining a position and/or a shape of the coupling zone, an evaluation device for controlling an image pickup unit in dependence of the position and/or shape of the coupling zone, and a lighting device for illuminating a partial area of the coupling zone. The evaluation device controls: a sharp area of the image recording unit; and the lighting device in dependence of the position and/or shape of the coupled bellows. The position detection unit is provided as: an imaging modality; a position sensing system in which the spatial location is detected by position markers arranged at the coupled bellows; and a distance measuring unit in which a distance is indirectly measured between the coupling surface and an acoustic lens. A spatial location with the imaging modality introduced at the coupled bellows in a vicinity of the coupling surface is detected by markers recognized to the imaging modality. The imaging modality is provided as an X-ray unit and an ultrasonic transducer array. The optical recording unit is provided as the imaging modality. The position detection unit detects a measuring size reproducing a volume of a coupled liquid located in the coupled bellows.
