METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING USER EQUIPMENT INFORMATION STATISTICS IN MULTIMEDIA BROADCAST MULTICAST SERVICE

A method for collecting user equipment (UE) information statistics in a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) is disclosed by the present invention. A UE sends a dedicated Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling which carries feedback information to a network side when a trigger condition is satisfied; the network side collects UE information statistics based on the feedback information contained in the dedicated RRC signaling, and when the UE information statistics satisfy certain needs, the network side sends a feedback termination indication to the UE; and the UE stops transmitting the feedback information after receiving the feedback termination indication. A system for collecting UE information statistics in an MBMS service is also disclosed by the present invention. With the technical solutions of the present invention, the UE information statistics can be collected by the network side, and the requirements for activating or deactivating the Multicast Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) transmission manner of the MBMS by the network side can be met. With the method disclosed, the network side instructs the UE to stop feeding back with full consideration of the load of the uplink resources, thereby the load of the uplink resources can be reduced, and the uplink resources can be saved.
