<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device, a host device, a server device, an authentication system, and an authentication method, which can prevent illegal access to the memory device even when a secret key for authenticating the host device is leaked. <P>SOLUTION: The memory device 20 comprises at least the following: a storage part 23 for storing confirmation information for confirming authentication permission; a communication part 24 capable of communicating with an external host device; and a control part 21 having a function of authentication against the external host device, which confirms whether the external host device is permitted to perform authentication against the own device and, if permitted, performs authentication processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
