摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high wear resistance and relatively superior formation accuracy of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor comprises a conductive substrate, a photoconductive layer and a surface layer. The photoconductive layer contains silicon, while the surface layer contains silicon and carbon. When the number of carbon atoms and the number of silicon atoms per unit volume are denoted by a and b, respectively, the surface layer includes: a first region having a number ratio (A) of atoms represented by A=a/(b+a), of 0.75 or more and less than 0.81; a second region stacked on the first region and having a number ratio (A) of atoms of 0.81 or more and 0.95 or less; and a third region stacked on the second region and having a number ratio (A) of atoms of over 0.95 and 1.0 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
