<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap water power generating unit in which blade parts can be efficiently rotated even under a small hydraulic pressure of tap water to cause good power generation, promoting a nation-wide energy saving life. <P>SOLUTION: The tap water power generating unit comprises: a casing 1 equipped with a cylindrical part 12 provided on the lower side of an upper disk plate 11 and with a conical skirt part 13, on its lower side, constricted in its lower part; and an impeller 2 provided, within the cylindrical part 12, with a plurality of blade parts 22 on the circumference of a blade mounting part 21. The rotary shaft part 23 of the impeller 2 is set vertically and rotatably within the casing 1. The inlet port 3 of tap water is provided from the tangential direction of the rotary locus of the impeller 2, and the outlet port 4 is provided at the lowest end of the skirt part 13.
