OILLESS RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oilless reciprocating compressor capable of exhibiting excellent durability.

SOLUTION: This oilless reciprocating compressor includes: a housing 5 formed with a cylinder bore 5a; a piston 20 reciprocating in the cylinder bore 5a and formed with a ring groove 20a in an outer peripheral surface thereof; and a piston ring 20b fitted in the ring groove 20a so as to be brought into slide-contact with the cylinder bore 5a with reciprocation of the piston 20. Lubricating oil is not supplied between the cylinder bore 5a and the piston 20. The piston ring 20b is mainly formed from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). An inner peripheral surface of the cylinder bore 5a is formed with a sliding layer 5b including a binder resin, PTFE powder and inorganic filling materials.
