A mobile automobile service trailer has a chassis with a body fastened thereon; an alternating current inlet, for selectably electrically connecting AC current from a commercial grid to a trailer AC network; a direct current inlet, for selectably electrically connecting DC current provided by a tow vehicle to a trailer DC network; and a renewable energy electric current generator electrically connectable to at least one of the trailer AC network and the trailer DC network. The trailer further has a battery system having at least one battery, the battery system being electrically connectable to the trailer AC network or the trailer DC network for charging the battery. The renewable energy electric current generator may be a photovoltaic electricity generator, a fuel cell electricity generator or a wind powered electricity generator.
