<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent screen luminance unevenness in a liquid crystal display device having a light guide plate composed of multiple divided light guide plates, and a side-view type LED. <P>SOLUTION: A divided light guide plate 51 is formed such that a cross section thereof has a wedge shape, a step part 55 is formed at a position where an LED 30 is arranged, and a hole 54 for holding the LED 30 is formed at the step part 55. A plated surface is formed on a lower surface of the LED 30 and is connected to a wiring board 40 by solder 35. The LED 30 has a light-emitting surface 31, a bottom frame 32, and a top frame 33. A height of the bottom frame 32 is larger than a height of the top frame 33, thereby the lower end of the light-emitting surface 31 of the LED 30 is always located on the upper side of the lower end of the divided light guide plate 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
