METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING PREDICTION VIDEO, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve encoding and decoding efficiencies of a moving image by performing encoding and decoding of the moving image by adaptively applying a prediction mode optimal for each macro block of color components to each macro block of color components of a current image.

SOLUTION: A method of generating a prediction video includes: decoding a bit stream to restore information indicating one prediction mode for blocks of a plurality of color components constituting one sequence; and generating a prediction video of a current video by using a prediction mode that is uniformly applied to the blocks of the color components or by independently using a prediction mode for the blocks of the color components according to the restored information.
