摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve generation efficiency in a weak excitation in a hot carrier solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: A hot carrier solar cell includes: a light absorption semiconductor layer (110); an electrode (160); and an energy selective contact layer (120) formed between the light absorption semiconductor layer and the electrode. The energy selective contact layer further includes: a first barrier layer (121); a second barrier layer (123) formed closer on a side of the electrode as compared with the first barrier layer and having a thickness thinner than that of the first barrier layer; and further includes a carrier passing layer (122) formed between the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer, and allowing carriers to pass through from a side of the first barrier layer to a side of the second barrier layer selectively, the carriers being excited in the light absorption semiconductor layer and having a predetermined energy level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
