<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce by-products in fermenting/producing L-lysine, L-threonine, L-asparagine, L-asparagine acid, L-methionine, L-alanine, L-isoleucine, or L-homoserine. <P>SOLUTION: A bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae, which has an ability to produce L-lysine, L-threonine, L-asparagine, L-asparagine acid, L-methionine, L-alanine, L-isoleucine or L-homoserine, and which is modified so that expression of a gltP gene and/or gltS gene is increased, is cultured in a culture medium to produce and accumulate the L-amino acid in the culture medium or in cells of the bacterium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
