<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves exposing an element i.e. housing (1), to pressure and/or vacuum. Deformation of an elastic component of the element due to the pressure and/or vacuum is detected by a sensor system with optical units e.g. camera and light barrier. The detected deformation is evaluated with respect to leakage of the element. An aperture of the housing is provided with a membrane (3) as the elastic component, where an actuating element (2) projects to the aperture from the housing. The housing is provided with a closable test hole. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for testing leakage of an element i.e. housing, of an electrical switch i.e. microswitch (all claimed), during production of the element in automated manufacturing systems.
