The element (12) i.e. grille heating element, has a heating wire (15) arranged at a flexible deformable carrier mat (14) as a wavy line. The carrier mat is designed as a basalt fiber fabric that is made of refractory material. The heating element exhibits heat resistance upto temperature values greater than 500 degree Celsius, and is arranged adjacent to an outer side of a ceiling (8). The heating wire is woven into the fabric in an area wise manner, where diameter of the heating wire is less than 1 mm. The domestic appliance has a thermal reflector with a carrier that is made from steel, which is coated with silicon dioxide. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a domestic appliance comprising a cooking space and a heating element.
