An ohmic resistor is joined parallel to output of power supply unit (5) through grounding line (16). The functional earth is connected to voltage divider capacitors and/or resistors (R1,R2), for balancing the signals in actuator sensor interface (ASI) bus system. The capacitors are connected to grounding point (E) through ground line. An alternating current meter is provided for measuring the alternating current from center portion (18) of ground line. A band pass filter has filter area that covers the frequency range of data signals from alternating current meter. An independent claim is included for method for measuring ground fault in ASI bus system.
