The cable duct (4) has a U-shaped base body (5) for locking a lid (6). A U-leg (8) of the base body secures attachment members (9, 27) i.e. fasteners, with each other and is arranged opposite to another U-leg (13) of the base body for fastening the attachment members. A mechanical linkage (10) between the lid and the base body is detached by a deflection process. The attachment members form a racing- and/or snap connection between cable duct components and cable duct lining elements (11, 12).
