PURPOSE: A pneumatic tensioner is provided to improve a work environment by reducing noises using a muffler installed in an air outlet of a pneumatic motor. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tensioner(1000) comprises a pneumatic pressure regulating unit(100), a pneumatic motor unit(200), a planetary gear unit(300), a worm gear unit(500), and a head part(600). The pneumatic motor unit generates a torque by using the pneumatic pressure provided from the pneumatic pressure regulating unit. The planetary gear unit decelerates a torque generated in the pneumatic motor unit. The worm gear unit decelerates a torque generated in the planetary gear unit. The worm gear unit turns a torque 90 degrees, thereby transferring the torque to a feed wheel. The head part embraces a binding band and transfers the torque of the feed wheel to the binding band.
