The invention relates to an oil tank made, as known, per se, of a tank housing (1; 2) for receiving a store of oil, wherein the tank housing (1; 2) is formed of a lower housing part (1) and an upper housing part (1) adhesively or form-fit connected to said lower housing part (2). The tank housing (1; 2) comprises at least one closeable housing opening (6; 7) for filling the oil tank with oil. At least the upper housing part (2) of the tank housing (1; 2) is made of plastic, wherein the upper housing part (2) is transparent according to the invention, and in contrast to the prior art. In order to determine the fill level of the oil store received by the oil tank, the oil level is visible through the transparent material of the upper housing part (2), wherein the height of the oil level in the tank housing can be compared to at least one measuring scale (3) mounted on the tank housing (1; 2) or in the interior thereof, so that it is also visible through the transparent upper housing part (2). |
