摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-vehicle communication unit capable of acquiring traffic jam information at an early stage. SOLUTION: When traffic jam continues from vehicle M to vehicle A, traffic jam information of the head vehicle M in a dynamic address AD001 at the head of traffic jam, traffic jam information of the head vehicle I in second dynamic address AD002, and traffic jam information of the head vehicle E in third dynamic address AD003 are acquired. More specifically, traffic jam information is inquired by transmitting data to a destination having a previous dynamic address, and the head vehicle in that dynamic address sends back traffic jam information preferentially. Upon attaining traffic jam information, the vehicle A sums the length 20 m of three forward dynamic addresses AD001, AD002 and AD003 where traffic is jamming thus determining traffic jam of 60 m. Since each jamming vehicle grasps jam occurrence time information of the head vehicle in each dynamic address, traffic jam time can be determined from the time difference between the time information of its own vehicle and the time information corresponding to the head address.
