PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of protecting a portion of the same where ill effects are imposed on the function of the image pickup device due to damage or the adhesion of contamination or dust without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: When a moving display member 20 is disposed at a covering position P1, a camera lens 14 is covered with a first surface 22 of member 20, and also, the LCD 26 of the moving display member 20 is covered with a half portion 12B on the side surface of a camera main body 12, so that the LCD 26 cannot be viewed from the outside.
