PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device, an image formation device and a method for disposing of bubbles which can effectively extinguish the bubbles generated in the ink in a print head. SOLUTION: If the abnormal discharge at a print head 50 supplied with a degassed ink is detected, a vibration generating means 102 provided in the outside of the print head 50 is moved to the formation area of an ink-chamber unit 53A in which the bubble generates, and a ultrasonic vibration in the direction nearly parallel to the ink discharge direction is applied to the formation area of the ink-chamber unit 53A using the vibration generating means 102. If the ultrasonic vibration is made to act on the ink in the ink-chamber unit 53A, the bubble gets dissolved into the ink, and then it can be extinguished. The vibration generating means 102 can be utilized for an ink-discharge actuator as well as an abnormal-discharge detecting piezoelectric element. The bubble can be effectively extinguished by applying the ultrasonic vibration intensively to the bubble generating area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
