PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firmly and glossily erect an auxiliary support thinner than a base support on the base support supporting a seat body of a bench, etc. SOLUTION: A pair of reinforcing plates 11 with inward fixing pieces 11a facing each other on the lower ends are fixed on opposite faces inside the base support 5 made of a square pipe whose top is closed, and an opening 9 almost in the same shape as the contour of the auxiliary support 6 is formed on top of the base support 5. The lower end of the auxiliary support 6 inserted into the base support 5 from the opening 9 is put between the opposite ends of the fixing pieces 11a and 11a, and the contact part between the fixing pieces 11a and the outer surface of the auxiliary support 6 is joined by welding 15.
