<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orientation device of a carbon nanotube, an orientation method of a carbon nanotube, and a method for manufacturing an electric field emission display device. <P>SOLUTION: The orientation device of a carbon nanotube contains at least two electrodes that are formed on an insulating substrate and have opposite polarities, and an insulating layer for covering the electrodes. The carbon nanotube arranged adjacent to the electrode is orientated by an electric field formed by the electrode, thus orientating the carbon nanotube in a fixed direction and causing emission having high and uniform luminance for long use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
