PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily use a wireless LAN service without any procedure such as prior contract. SOLUTION: This authentication method comprises authentication information transmitting step in which the user inputs authentication through a terminal to be connected with wireless LAN and transmits it to an authentication server; a step in which the authentication server which received the authentication information transmits URL to a cellular phone of the user; a step in which the user accesses a Web site of the URL through the cellular phone to transmit a telephone number; and a step in which the authentication server permits the user of wireless LAN service to the terminal by collating the authentication information with the telephone number.
