ELECTROMAGNETIC SHIELDING AND AN ACOUSTIC CHAMBER FOR A MICROPHONE IN A MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PURPOSE: Electromagnetic shielding for a microphone of a movement electronic device and an acoustic chamber are provided to separate the microphone from electro-magnetic interference by forming the acoustic chamber which surrounds the microphone by using a circuit board and radio frequency shield. CONSTITUTION: A device(10) comprises housing(11) and a circuit board(142) mounted within the housing. The housing has an opening for the entry of sound energy. Analog and digital circuits(148) comprise broadband and/or base band transceiver and a keyboard circuit. An audio output transducer(144) is connected to the analog and digital circuits. An antenna/RF front end circuit(150) locates in the lower side of the housing. A radio frequency circuit is included in the housing and creates electromagnetic emission.
