<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which provides good image quality with the use of developer stable in electrifying efficiency by forcibly discharging deteriorated toner and supplying new toner accordingly. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier to a visible image with the two-component developer stored in a developing means having a developer carrier to which developing bias is applied, and transfers the visible image on the image carrier to transfer material and fixes the image thereon. The image forming apparatus has a means for controlling toner concentration to predetermined one after outputting a halftone patch according to input data of reference gradation, detecting its density and consuming predetermined amount of toner on a photoreceptor from an obtained result of relation between the input data and output density. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
