A dust-collecting apparatus is provided to reduce significantly the air pollution through the collection of harmful materials having minute particles. A blower(2) is installed at the upper portion of a housing(1). An inhalation pipe(3) inhales the discharge gas. A discharge pipe(4) discharges the dust-separated gas. An air pump(2a) and a blower pipe(3a) form the swirl within the housing. A dispersion control plate(5) is formed at the lower portion of the housing and induces the discharge of the dust. The first and second dampers(7,8) are installed at the outlet of the lower portion so that a backward flow is prevented. A collecting member(9) is formed at the lower portion of the housing and collects the dust.
