<p>The cutting device (1) has a vertically movable cutting plate (6) used for separating a portion (2) of tobacco bale (4). A conveyor (3) is arranged in parallel to the cutting plate and is spaced apart from the cutting plate. A counter plate (5) is arranged on a cutting table (9) and is extended along the conveyor plane (10) of the conveyor, and a counter knife (8) is arranged on the cutting table.
