A DC-DC converter and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to easily adjust an output voltage of a DC-DC converter by generating 256 output levels based on 8-bit digital information. A DC-DC converter includes an output control module(120) and an output voltage generating module(119). The output control module generates a reference voltage based on predetermined digital information and an output voltage, which is fed back from the output voltage generating module. The output voltage generating module compares the reference voltage with a predetermined oscillation waveform to generate a switching waveform, and supplies the output voltage corresponding to the switching waveform. The output control module includes a memory(123), a communication interface module(121), and a reference voltage generating module(122). The memory stores the digital information. The communication interface module obtains the digital information from the memory. The reference voltage generating module generates the reference voltage based on the digital information and the output voltage, and supplies the reference voltage.
