PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio playback apparatus capable of combining voices sung by a user with the accompaniment for an original musical piece. SOLUTION: A player 22 reads an audio data 21 with original song notes from a data disk 5, and outputs it to an audio decoder 23. The audio data 21 with the song notes is processed to cancel the song notes by a song note cancellation module 24 after decoding by the audio decoder 23, and is output to a mixer 25. An analog voice signal collected by a microphone 10 is converted into a digital voice data, and is output to the mixer 25 through an effector 26. The mixer 25 mixes the audio data after cancellation of the song notes with the digital voice data, and makes a loud speaker 8 generate sound therefrom after D/A conversion, and also encodes the mixed data to produce the audio data with the song notes of the user.
