POUCH OF IMPROVED SAFETY FOR SECONDARY BATTERY AND SECONDARY BATTERY, BATTERY PACK USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A pouch for secondary battery, a pouch type secondary battery, and a medium to large sized battery pack are provided to save manufacturing time and space and enhance lifetime and safety of a battery. CONSTITUTION: A pouch for secondary battery comprises: a space part which an electrode assembly(40'); upper battery cases(30); lower part battery cases(20); and a sealing part which seals the upper and lower battery case. The upper and lower battery case has a retractable structure which protruded edges of electrode leads(70,80) of the electrode assembly are indented to a direction and bent. The retractable structure is indented and folded at least once. A secondary battery comprises the pouch for secondary battery and the electrode assembly.
