The invention relates to an electric motor comprising a motor housing provided with bearings for supporting the rotor shaft. In the motor housing, a laminated stator core is provided, on which a stator winding is arranged, wherein in the motor housing, a laminated rotor core is provided attached to the rotor shaft in a rotatably fixed manner. In the laminated rotor core, grooves are provided extending from one axial face side of the laminated rotor core to the other axial face side of the laminated rotor core.
