PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system capable of conducting a guidance of traffic information in an appropriate manner, even when temporal traffic regulation is carried out by traffic signal equipment. SOLUTION: The navigation system 1 stores signal related information, including individual identification information of a traffic signal equipment, such as a traffic light 10, a railroad crossing 30 which is installed on a road and carries out the temporal traffic regulation, and its installation position, its regulation direction and its regulation time, into a storage means 6. When conducting the guidance of the traffic information, the signal related information of the traffic light 10 and the railroad crossing 30 existing in a road map is utilized in addition to road map information. For example, the operating states of a plurality of traffic lights 10 at intersections and the like are provided, together with the regulation direction and the like, thereby conducting guidance of the traffic information in an appropriate manner.
