PURPOSE: A battery charging apparatus and system are provided to prevent the burden of place or costs according to the use of an extended device by interlinking a plurality of charge machineries without a separate extended device. CONSTITUTION: Communications interface(210) communicates with a neighboring charging apparatus. The communications interface comprises a first communications port and a second communications port. A packet generator(230) creates a packet informing charge preparation and transmits the packet to a point-of-sale system. A charge unit code generator(232) creates a charge unit code for distinguishing a charge unit in which a battery is inserted. A memory(250) stores information which is necessary for the operation of a recharge control controller(240) and the packet generator.
