<p>The invention relates to a back box extender, especially to allow additional layers of plaster to be applied around an existing electrical socket or switch. The extension for an electrical back box, comprises a plate of rigid material, including frangible and foldable lines. The lines divide the plate into parts as required by a user and allow it to be formed into a folded tubular extension. In this way a box may be installed at a useful depth from an envisaged finished plaster surface, and the extension may be formed into a four side cylinder and fitted into the installed box, thereby increasing the depth of the box sides and accommodating plastering or boarding that occurs at a different depth to that provided by the box and/or allowing the boarder, plasterer or user to end easier.</p> |
