PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of dynamic spectrum resource allocation in coexisting heterogeneous wireless networks. SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes the steps of: at an MS, detecting its own serving AP and a coexisting cAP and sending to the serving AP a service request message carrying a bandwidth demand and a cAP ID in communication of this time; at the serving AP, sending to a DSAM a spectrum request message carrying its own AP ID, a spectrum resource demand obtained from the service request message from one or more MSs, and its cAP ID after receiving the service request message; and allocating the spectrum resources dynamically using a fixed dynamic spectrum allocation algorithm according to the received spectrum resource demand, AP ID and cAP ID, and sending a spectrum resource allocation result to the serving AP.
