PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium for controlling a reproducing apparatus to reliably execute picture-in-picture even when fluctuation lies in the kinds of materials to be decoded with the reproducing apparatus. SOLUTION: A plurality of video streams STN_table are recorded to a local storage. The plurality of video streams are respectively secondary video streams reproduced together with a primary video stream, including picture data to be displayed as a slave image among the combined image formed of a master image and the slave image.
