PURPOSE: A negative electrode active material for lithium secondary battery and a lithum secondary battery including thereof are provided to enhance a high rate and cycle life characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A negative electrode active material for lithium secondary battery includes more than 20 weight% of metal oxide and has same or less than 500 m/g of specific surface area. The negative electrode active material is a fiber which includes a carbon black with doped metal oxide inside. The metal oxide and carbon black are welded by a binder. The negative electrode active material includes 20-99 weight% of metal oxide. A lithium secondary battery comprises a cathode including the negative electrode active material, an anode, and an electrolyte.
