A haemostatic device for use in skin surgery comprises a handle with a disc-like end attached to the handle. The disc-like end may have a plurality of holes in it through which an electric probe can be introduced for the purpose of cauterisation. The disc-like end may have a convex surface and a concave surface (that is to say spoon-shaped) in order to achieve haemostasis by compression of the skin and underlying layers before cauterisation takes place.
|
