PURPOSE: A power supply with a real-time sensor monitoring function is provided to diagnose the failure of a sensor before a problem by sensing a current flowing the sensor and comparing it with the characteristics of the sensor. CONSTITUTION: The power supply line(22) of a sensor(20) is connected to a power supply unit(100). Each sensor provides a DC power. The power supply unit monitors current flowing in the sensor real-time. The signal wires(24) of the sensors are connected to the power supply unit. The monitoring information of the power supply units is transmitted to a PLC(40). The PLC controls an automatic device(50).
